The Fitzroy Street Place Audit aims to engage the community and stakeholders about what makes places culturally and economically prosperous, diverse and inclusive.
A place audit captures observations relating to four key attributes which define “place” - through observation, each audit measures factors supporting the “accessibility and linkages”, “comfort and image”, “uses and activity” and “sociability” of each precinct.
The audit process is a starting point to engage community about ways we can practically improve places to achieve goals underpinning the Art and Soul strategy. The first audit focuses on five locations across Fitzroy Street precinct. This report presents the key findings from the 2nd annual audit undertaken of the Fitzroy Street precinct.
